Ajna was charmed by the exotic dance long time ago, probably at the time when she started her study of sinology at Charles University in Prague. Thanks to the studies of Chinese culture and language, she was eventually able to discover the Chinese dance and combat art (Wu shu). However, the Chinese dance was not the only exotic dance Ajna knew, or studied, or cared about – she diligently attended the lectures of the African dance, Bali dance, Indian and gipsy dance. She also found an interest in the dances of the Middle East.
Japanese dance
Ajna discovered the Japanese dance and the stage performing through her fried Mimi, who gave her the first kimono. Thanks to this fortunate circumstance as well as the magic and charm of the Japanese clothing, Ajna found herself strongly attached to the Japanese culture. With her partner, Miloš Řezníček, she works on the dance and fencing exhibitions in a Japanese style.
Hawaiian dance
Within the range of the exotic dances, Ajna specializes mainly in Polynesian dance from the Hawaii, Tahiti and Cook Islands. Ajna discovered the magic of the Hawaiian dance two years ago, and she has been following this interest professionally from that time on. During her studies and travels she also met aboriginal lecturers, who teach these dances, especially the famous Hula dance.
