Bollywood dance and Me
I found the dances of Bollywood charming especially because of their playfulness. Bollywood is one of my favourite forms of the whole Indian dance expression. Indian dance in general attracted my attention four years ago when I also started to attend various courses dedicated to this type of dancing. I got through the dancing styles such as Kathak, Baratnanatjam, or the Indian gipsy dance from Rajasthan. My first knowledge of Bollywood here in the Czech Republic came from Vendula Uhýrková, but I have learnt the proper techniques and the original choreography under the supervision of Markéta Odvárková, a dancer of a Trn v Oku group, who studied the Bollywood dance in England and Pushkar. Our teamwork and cooperation still continue.
