The Persian dance belongs to the group of the oriental dances of the Middle East. It has always been an inspiration for numerous cultures; one of the main reasons for this was the fact that the ancient kingdom of Persia was for a long time the centre of culture and intelligence. It attracted the people from all around the world, and they brought with them their own cultures and cultural sources, which then continued further on, staying principally within the trade roads of the ancient world. The Persian culture is unique; the Persian dance combines the traditional features with new aspects. It beautifully illustrates the culture of the Middle-East and it expresses the feminine beauty, which lies within every female dancer.

Ajna dances several dancing styles of the Middle East, including Persian dances (Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan), but also dances from Kazakhstan and Kurdistan. These dances are extremely delicate; especially the Persian dance is characterised by very soft and gentle movements of the upper part of the body and of the arms. The Persian dance is very often performed on the occasions of various social events or family parties.
