The period of Renaissance brought prosperity and glory and to many European countries. This era became a pattern and a symbol for future historical epochs. The man of the Renaissance stands as an ideal prototype of a human being to these days. The Renaissance also brought new motives of music and dance, which truly mirrored the era they dated back to. This music and the style of dancing are typical for their joyfulness and pleasant naivety as well as for the essence of mysteriousness. They are very effective as a completion and an enriching feature of every social event.
Folk Renaissance dance and the dance of the court
Ajna performs dances in the arrangement for 2-6 dancers. The exhibition of the court dances does not lack stupendous and rich costumes of the nobles; on the other hand, the folk dances can boast of their cheerful playfulness. The Renaissance dance presented by Ajna and her colleagues is a combination of the period dance tradition and of the answer to the needs of a contemporary spectator, who wants to amuse himself while observing the dancers. The dances are created in an interesting way, so that they will surely capture the attention of the audience. The performances are delivered in beautiful costumes.
The Renaissance programme
The Renaissance dances are performed by 2-6 dancers to life music if consulted in with the client and the band in advance. The whole exhibition can be also diversified by a small fashion show when the spectator is acquainted with the history of the period apparel worn by the dancers. These robes are very often precise replicas of the dresses from the well-known Renaissance paintings. The robe of Ajna, for instance, was made after the clothing of Eleonora di Toledo; only the embroidery of the dress is of 40 metres length.
